“Uki” furniture

The clear, straightforward lines of the modern Uki range of furniture renders their design timeless and speaks to even the most demanding of interior decorators. The stool, designed in the 1940s by the professor of architecture Uki Heikkisen, founder of the Uki Architects’ Office in Oulu, has a Japanese touch to it.

“Uki” stool

The Uki stool can be made from a variety of hardwoods, and ash, walnut and white oak all add slightly different overtones to it. The original model had a plaited cord drawn on it, but we also make it nowadays without the cord. Being highly functional and with simple lines, Uki stools are well suited for use either in the home or in public places.
